Pray Daily


Pray Daily is a bimonthly prayer calendar with suggested prayer points for each day of the year. It is primarily useful for individuals, but also good for prayer meetings. *1 S Lebanon: p.28 Pray for Milard and Joyce as they continue to empower and inspire Lebanese believers to explore their own distinctive ways of following Jesus.

*2 M Lebanon: p.28 Pray with Milard, Joyce and their children for the growth and well-being of the home groups in Lebanon, and the emergence of quality leaders.

3 T Thailand: p.15 Pray for Larry and Jan as they disciple new believers and emerging leaders. Ask for wisdom and cultural understanding as they teach and equip.

4 W South Asia: p.13 Pray for patience and discernment for Graeme and Pat as they establish friendships with colleagues in South Asia. May they be sensitive to their colleagues’ needs and may their new journey be full of meaning.

5 T Central Asia: p.11 Give thanks that Len and Sue were able to teach David’s classes and students were able to complete the Semester.

6 F South East Asia: p.21 Pray for Rick and Irene’s^safety. Give thanks for their improved health and pray for their friend ‘Amy’ who is coming to know Jesus as her Lord.

*7 S Silk Road: p.9 Pray for Roz and Ken as they establish a partnership team to support them prayerfully and financially. Pray for their family as they deal with the reality of living apart.

8 S Central Asia: p.11 Pray for Jill as she commences training courses in preparation for cross-cultural work.Pray the things she learns will equip her for her ministry in Central Asia.

9 M Global Consultant: p.30 Pray for Walt White as he returns to full health after a heart attack last year. Pray for healing for him and for wisdom for the medicos who deal with his condition. Ask for peace for Walt and Jeanine.

*10 T Australia: p.30 Pray for wisdom for Chris Barnden, Director of Ministries, as he supports the cross-cultural teams and plans for the strategic direction of the ministry.

*11 W Mozambique: p.7 Pray for Cameron and Katherine and their children in the final weeks before they leave for Mozambique. Ask that their plans and arrangements will fall into place smoothly and that they will transition well.

*12 T S Silk Road: p.9 Pray for Ken and Roz and for the training and equipping prior to their departure. Ask for a timely arrangement of business affairs in order to be free to depart. May they remain faithful to his call every step of the way.

*13 F Thailand: p.15 Pray for Petina and her studies in preparation for her future cross-cultural ministry. Pray for her ongoing growth in and understanding of God’s call for her.

14 S Zambia and Zimbabwe: p.28 Pray for Keith Gallagher as he works with the Baptist Union of Zimbabwe as they address the need for suitable leaders in rural churches.

15 S Thailand: p.15 Remember Jan Yawan who is in Australia for breast cancer treatment. May Jan, Jit and Anna be aware of God’s hand in their lives in the coming months.

16 M Malawi: p.7 Remember Graham and Pam and pray for their good health. Pray for wisdom and good management as they take care of the many daily issues, regular administration and future planning for the Malawi team.

17 T South Asia: p.13 Pray for the work of the new Training Centre, that it may be a great resource for good and ask that ‘settling in’ challenges will be resolved quickly and easily.

*18 W Mozambique: p.7 Ask that Alan will gain a good foundation in the Portuguese and ciYawo languages so that he can more effectively engage with the Yawo people.

19 T Australia: p.34 Give thanks for the National Office staff who provide support to cross-cultural workers. Pray that they may be aware of the essential contribution they make. 

20 F Cambodia: p.17 Ask for wisdom for Heather as she takes up the role of Global Interaction General Director next month.

21 S Thailand: p.15 Give thanks that Dema, Carolyn and their family have long-term visas and that Dema has the necessary permits to teach in primary school. Pray that they will find ways to share the gospel and nurture fellowships of new believers.

22 S Outback Australia: p.24 Remember Norm and Karen Roberts and give thanks for the encouragement to the community of recent Outback Xposure visits. Pray for God’s peace for the Yuendumu church, community and families.

*23 M Cambodia: p.17 Pray for Steve and Lisa and their family. Pray that Steve will be given wisdom and direction in how to share his faith. Praise God that some physios have responded to Steve’s invitation to go to church.

24 T Silk Road: p.9 Pray for Geoff and Amanda as they prepare for cross-cultural service, complete their studies and establish a supportive partnership team. Ask for a timely arrangement of business affairs to enable them to get visas.

25 W Central Asia: p.11 Pray that Dan^ will have a powerful impact on the lives of the students he teaches and that the relationships formed will open opportunities to share the gospel.

*26 T Malawi: p.7 Remember Ian and Wendy, Simeon and Benjamin. Pray for the ciYawo English dictionary project and ask that Ian’s capacity to grasp linguistic and cultural features may be used to express meaning in the Yawo language.

*26 F Australia: p.30 Pray for safety for Roger Kemp, Consultant for Leadership Development, as he travels to visit Global Interaction cross-cultural teams around the world. Ask for wisdom as he offers support, guidance and advice.

28 S Thailand: p.15 Give thanks with Anna for those who are faithfully partnering her through prayer and generous giving. Pray for her wisdom to share the gospel with her neighbours and that God will open hearts to find peace in Christ.

29 S Australia: p.11 Pray for David and Shirley Dean who finished their work with Global Interaction last month after 11 years in Central Asia. Ask that they may be aware of God’s guidance and peace as they begin a new phase in their lives.

30 M South East Asia: p.19 Pray for Mark and Val as they learn the local language and also ‘discover a new world’ to share with the people among whom they live.

31 T Mozambique: p.7 Pray for Tobias and Heather, Elijah and Rachel as they settle into their new place in Mozambique. Ask for patience and endurance as they face the various challenges of transition and cultural differences. Praise God for their faithful partnership team.

FEBRUARY 2012

*1 W Silk Road: p.9 Give thanks with Daniel and Camila  for the local people who are helping them with language and culture learning. Pray for a smooth path to obtaining visas. Ask for opportunities to empower people in their journeys with God.

*2 T South East Asia: p.19 Pray for Maz, Ezzie and their family. Ask for good health for Esther and the new baby. Give thanks for finding suitable accommodation and ask for continuing progress as they learn language and culture.

*3 F South East Asia: p.19 Pray for Marg as she faces a new semester and interacts with a new class of students taking her English course. Pray that she will be diligent as she resumes her local language study after an extended break.

*4 S Cambodia: p.17 Remember John and Karen, and give thanks that John was able to preach his first full sermon in Khmer at a combined church retreat. Pray that God’s love will empower the people of this church to grow in unity.

*5 S Australia: p.30 Pray for wisdom for Karen Newnham, Director of Human Resources, as she prepares people for cross-cultural work. Pray for God’s protection and guidance over Karen; physically, emotionally and spiritually.

6 M Thailand: p.15 Pray for Lyndal and the team at the Life Impact Foundation as they help families care for orphaned children. Ask that many Thai will come to know Jesus’ healing.

*7 T Cambodia: p.17 Pray for Scott and Janelle, Rosie and Isaac. Ask that they will be attentive to God’s prompting and his plans for them as they prepare to step out in faith. Pray that language and culture learning may come quickly.

8 W Mozambique: p.7 Pray for Ben and Samantha as they continue to learn to be parents and ask that God will raise up a partnership team to journey with them in prayer.

9 T South Asia: p.13 Pray for the new translation of the Big Book. Pray for wisdom and insight as Morris finds the time to check the work. May the translation bring the good news to many more people in South Asia.

*10 F South East Asia: p.19 Pray with Dave and Caz^ for the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in their friend ‘Mrs Y’. Pray that she will continue to grow in faith and be a source of light to her family and local community.

11 S Central Asia: p.11 Pray for Cliff^ and the relationships he has formed with colleagues and those around him. May his time in Australia provide refreshment in body, mind and spirit.

12 S Malawi: p.7 Give thanks with Arthur and Debbie for the generosity of those who are supporting them and ask God to provide them with more partners so that they can join their team in Malawi soon.

13 M Cambodia: p.17 Pray for Barry and Fiona, Visarl and Narin as they readjust to life in Australia. Pray for the ongoing work of the Peace Bridges project.

14 T South East Asia: p.19 Pray that registration of the education foundation will proceed smoothly and speedily. Ask for wisdom for the team as they deal with government departments and negotiate new visas.

15 W South East Asia: p.21 Praise God with Ky and Sharon^ that opportunities for business consultancy are opening up. Give thanks that the landfill village school has been upgraded with funds donated from Australia.

*16 T Mozambique: p.7 Pray for Jonno and Heather, Samuel, Caleb, Hannah, Micah and Josiah. Give thanks that Ayla Prospero will join them soon to help with home schooling.

17 F Malawi: p.7 Pray for Andrew, currently in Australia on medical leave. Ask for wisdom as regards employment and ministry opportunities and for the possibility of teaching in Zambia this year. Pray for further improvement in his health.

*18 S Papua: p.26 Remember Rod Bensley and ask for safe travel and good health when he visits Papua. Pray for the leaders and churches in Papua and for unity amid the amazing growth in of church groups and rapid ethnic diversification.

*19 S Mozambique: p.7 Pray for Cameron and Katherine as they discover how their gifts can be best used to serve God in a cross-cultural setting and seek to empower communities in their own distinctive ways of following Jesus.

20 M Silk Road: p.9 Pray for John and Glenda who are in Australia for home assignment. May their time in Australia provide refreshment in body, mind and spirit.

*21 T Cambodia: p.17 Pray that John and Karen will be refreshed while they’re in Australia for home assignment. Think of them as they speak to churches and undertake training.

22 W Silk Road: p.9 Pray for Ben and Petra preparing for cross-cultural service. Ask for a deep and close walk with God in order to remain faithful to his call, each step of the way.

*23 T South East Asia: p.19 Pray that Dave and Caz, Ben and Daniel will find a good balance of work and other activities, leisure and renewal.

*24 F Mozambique: p.7 Remember Jonno and Heather as they face the daily challenges of living in Africa. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide and protect them in their journey.

25 S South Asia: p.13 Pray for wisdom for Graeme as he passes on knowledge to project leaders and those around him. Pray for safety in travel and that he will have a positive impact on people’s lives, and lead them to walk more closely with God.

*26 S Vietnam: p.25 Pray for Hoa’s continued good health and strength to meet the demands of his work. Pray for the centre for disadvantaged children. Ask that the children may be blessed not only physically but also spiritually.

*27 M Silk Road: p.9 Give thanks that Wyneth has received permission to teach again this year and that the students appreciate her contribution to their lives. Pray for her as she deals with the death of her mother in Australia.

28 T South East Asia: p.19 Pray for Mark who is preparing for cross-cultural service. Ask that he will be aware of God’s guiding hand.

29 W South East Asia: p.21 Pray with Mel that the IS people will come to understand the hope and fullness of God’s love. Pray that her interactions and relationships with those around her will allow her to share her faith.
