The people group

The IB people group of South East Asia consists of about 600,000 people of several linguistic groups, who were once ruled by a single leader. Their animistic beliefs remain influential in daily life although they have adopted Islam and many are devout in these practices.
Primary religion: Islam

The cross-cultural workers

The Global Interaction team helps local people address the needs they experience at all levels of life. This includes: teaching English at a tertiary level; consultancy to help national teachers enhance their skills; and teaching diving to marine biology students.
