The people group

Thailand’s economy is doing reasonably well, but approximately 10% of the population live below the poverty line. Political tensions have created difficulties, especially in the south of Thailand.

The cross-cultural team
Global Interaction cross-cultural workers in Thailand seek to encourage culturally relevant expressions of faith, life and worship, and are involved in culturally appropriate development projects. The team works in two regional clusters in northern Thailand: one within urban communities and the other in a rural area. Specialists such as Jit and Jan Yawan work with Karen churches and Lyndal Brunner assists families affected by HIV/AIDS.
