Details

It is our aim to develop a 6,000 word bilingual learner dictionary in Ciyawo and English for Yawo primary school children who require English in order to be eligible for secondary education. The project employs 4 Yawo lexicographers and 1 Yawo data entry person. Ian works with the team as the editor of the dictionary.

The team are currently editing the first side of the dictionary to fit in with the publisher’s guidelines, and is looking forward to getting started on the second half of the dictionary.

It is a big job, and we are humbled and grateful for the support received for this project since its commencement.  Help the team move further towards completion of this invaluable resource.
