Many people are unable to obtain training in English or technology through normal avenues, because they lack the necessary education qualifications or cannot pay the fees. Our partner NGO has developed a training program to address this problem.

The program operates in three regional centres.  These centres offer basic courses in computer operation, basic maintenance and introductions to the standard computer programs in use in South Asia. When suitable staff members are available, simple English courses are offered in these centres.

The specific costs for the program are:
English course (15 attendees for 10 days): $280
Computer course (8 attendees for 6 days): $310
Centre rent and utilities: $450 per month
Wages for five teachers: $900 per month
Centre supplies: $200 per month
