As parents, Scott and Bek greatly appreciate the accessibility of the Australian health system. In Northern Mozambique there are limited medical services and those that are accessible can be expensive.  Considering their young children and the prevalence of unfamiliar bugs in Mozambique, Scott and Bek will need to ensure they keep on top of regular checkups, vaccinations and taking medication where required.

If a serious medical situation arises, emergency evacuation insurance is in place for all the families serving in Mozambique.  This emergency evacuation insurance has literally been a life-saver in the past, and will give Scott & Bek the assurance that, should a life-threatening event occur, they can be evacuated quickly to a place where they can access wise medical personnel and services.
