Details
There is a great need to equip Papua New Guinean pastors and church leaders in their roles. In order for these leaders to receive adequate training, qualified and experienced trainers are required. In order to help meet this need, the Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) runs a “train the trainer” course each year.
Approximately 10 participants, all experienced leaders ready to empower and teach others, are accepted into the course. Several training events are held throughout the course of the year. The training is competency based, with the participants undertaking practical field work.
When Geoff Cramb, Consultant to the BUPNG, is visiting, he often has the opportunity to help run these workshops. Once local, nationally recognised trainers are qualified and ready to fully take over, Geoff will hand over the training to them.
This project covers the cost of these workshops.
