Details
Keith Gallagher, our Consultant in Zambia and Zimbabwe, visits Zambia twice a year and is always interested to see the training taking place through the Block courses and Training of Trainers (TOT) course. He does not teach the Block courses as this teaching is conducted locally, and he has limited involvement in the TOT course, however Keith does conduct seminars for various groups of church leaders which are very beneficial.
The key leaders from the Northern Baptist Association of Zambia (NBAZ), Central Baptist Association of Zambia (CBAZ) and the Leadership Development Programme (LDP) gather together at different times with Keith to work through issues and possible future directions of their groups. Rather than being Bible teaching or training seminars, they are instead times when the leaders can reflect on their ways of operating and consider possible ways forward.
Some training resources are used, however the most important resource we can provide to the leaders is Keith himself!
The leaders find it most beneficial to meet away from their normal church locations, so the main costs associated with the seminars are accommodation and transport costs.
