Details
Muana and Villy have lived in rural Thailand since soon after they originally arrived in Thailand, back in 2001. Their two eldest daughters, Yindii and Zoe, have until now done home schooling using an Australian curriculum through Katherine School of the Air, as the local schools in the rural area in which they lived only teach in Thai.
In 2012, Muana and Villy and their three girls will move to Chiang Mai, so Yindii and Zoe will attend the nearby international school. What a change this will be for them! The education and nurturing they receive at the international school will assist them in their later primary school years, as they transition between school in Thailand and school in Australia and India during their Home Assignment periods.
The family’s education costs in 2012 will be fairly high, due to one-off enrolment fees and other one-off charges in addition to regular tuition fees. The family has received a discount in their fees, though, which is very helpful.
Having the opportunity to attend a great school close to home will be fantastic, not only for Yindii and Zoe, but for Muana and Villy too as it gives them the time and energy to be involved in their new local community.
