Details

Back in 2008, there were no formal community sports competitions in the northern town in Cambodia where Pip lives. Today, Pip and her team are implementing sports programs with over a thousand participants in total.

They run a five-month soccer Youth League with over 600 players taking part. Adults' tournaments, futsal (indoor soccer, played on a smaller pitch), school holiday tournaments and development camps allow hundreds more to participate.

Apart from soccer, Pip and her team organise taekwondo, ping pong and a running club. Through these activities the leadership capacity of coaches is being developed. Players acquire new skills, discipline, confidence and the ability to work as a team. Furthermore, the message of Christ is presented.
Your gift will contribute towards costs such as field rental, tournament costs and training for coaches.

Sample costs:
3 Soccer/sports 3 day camps for 300-500 youth: $700 each
2 Soccer tournaments: $1,500
Taekwondo costs: $1,090
Running club (6 month season and 2 competitions): $1,200
