Cross-Cultural Workers

Cameron and Katherine first visited Africa in 2000 on a Mission Awareness Trip. It was there, at Victoria Falls, that a marriage proposal took place and ever since that time God has been working in their lives and slowly directing them back to Africa to work among the Yao people.

 
For the last ten years Cam and Kath have been busy studying, starting a family and exploring God’s plans for them. They even went on a family trip to Malawi and Mozambique in 2007 to see if God was calling them there. Cam has a Bachelor of Science and PhD in Agriculture and currently works as a Plant Breeder. Kath is a Physiotherapist with International Health qualifications. They have three beautiful children Jack (born November 2005), Matilda (born June 2008) and Sydney (born March 2011). They currently attend Riverton Baptist Church in Western Australia.

Cam and Kath are preparing to join the team in Mozambique where they look forward to the challenge of discovering how their gifts can be best used to serve God in a cross-cultural setting. As part of the Global Interaction team in Mozambique they will seek to empower communities to develop their own distinctive ways of following Jesus. Initially Cam and Kath’s main focus will be to learn the local language and culture and to build friendships with the Yao people they meet..
