Lindsay and Jane's Story

Lindsay and Jane have served in Asia for 32 years and in the rich and vibrant city of Hong Kong for the past 22 years. Lindsay lectures at the Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary training future church leaders for Hong Kong and wider Asia. This vital task strengthens the church and prepares it for its own mission in God’s world, especially in China. Students come from an exciting mix of places across Asia.

Lindsay’s activities also include teaching, taking seminars, writing articles and various church ministries, all aimed at providing solid Biblical foundations for church growth. He is also involved in teaching postgraduate students to empower them to be a strong generation of leaders that will train even more workers to share the Gospel.

Jane’s ministry – called her ‘Yum Cha Ministry’ because she often meets up over Yum Cha (a Chinese brunch) – is focused on women in Hong Kong who need help, advice and counselling due to the heavy stresses of Hong Kong’s fast-paced society, relational problems or because of sickness. A typical day will often see her out meeting up with one or more ladies and offering pastoral support.
