Doctors

Papua New Guinea - Multiple Locations | Doctors required for each of the three health centres run by the Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea

The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea operates three health services in some of the most remote parts of the country. All three services are searching for Christian doctors at this time.

Min Baptist Health Services, based out of Telefomin hospital in the far west of the country, services nearly 30,000 people. This service has had no full time doctors for nearly 10 years now.

Western Highlands Baptist Health Services, centred at Tinsley Rural Hospital, is a large service in the highly populated Baiyer Valley. Famous as the starting point of Baptist missions in PNG, this hospital is very much in need of a senior doctor at this time.

Enga Baptist Health Services is operated out of Kompiam Rural Hospital. The youngest of the three health services, they are also interested in taking expressions of interest from Christian doctors with a heart for missionary service.

Applicants should have some procedural experience. In particular, capacity to perform caesarean section would be necessary. There is some scope for training for the less experienced doctor who had a heart to serve here.

Doctors hold a special leadership role in our health services and in our communities. While theological training is not a prerequisite, we would suggest that a humble heart that wants to obey and serve Christ wherever he may lead.
