Reflective prayers
Use these rich and reflective prayers for each of the four More Like Jesus themes as an individual or group. Share them upfront in a service, or as part of prayer stations or a prayer walk.
Oh Jesus in heaven,
We come to you seeking your help to be true followers of you.
Please turn our eyes to you and may all we think and do be pleasing to You Jesus.
Let our words encourage those around us and pointing to Jesus as the only way, life and truth.
Let our hands and feet be ready and willing to bless others. Joining them in their daily lives, and walking alongside them.
Let our hearts be joined with you Lord Jesus, shining your glory to others.
And when we don’t get these things right, help us come to you in repentance, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit as we depend on you.
Please shape us, guide us, teach us to be more like you Jesus and help us to seek Your will in all we do.
We pray this in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This beautiful prayer has been written by Botta and Kirsten who serve in our Cambodia team.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the example of Jesus, who brings healing and restoration through serving others with love, compassion and sacrifice. We ask that you would fill our hearts with the same commitment to sacrificially loving and showing compassion to all the people you have placed in our communities.
Give us boldness and courage to speak the truth of your word with wisdom. May our words and actions reflect your truth and love, bringing hope and healing to those around us. We thank you for the unique skills, passions and interests you have given each of us, we ask that we may use these to bring glory to your name.
Lord, we thank you that you are the source of all compassion, wisdom, power and love. We pray that we would find time in our busy lives to regularly and intentionally draw near to you, as Jesus did, and that our bodies and souls would be renewed, refreshed and refilled with your Holy Spirit.
We pray that your spirit would empower us to live out our faith boldly, sharing the good news of your Kingdom with all we encounter in word and deed. We ask that you would empower us through your Spirit to do the works of Jesus, in showing compassion and love to all people and speaking the hope of Jesus in the communities around us.
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for your example of leadership.
In our spheres of influence, help us to lead like you – investing in people, showing respect, serving with integrity, empowering others, seeing potential, forgiving mistakes and patiently guiding.
For leaders in our churches, help them to lead like you – faithfully teaching the Bible, pastorally caring for those in need, showing love to those inside and outside the church, pointing people towards the Father, drawing closer to the Spirit and living out their words.
For leaders across our country, help them to lead like you – seeing the needs of their community, standing up for the vulnerable, rejecting corruption, calling out greed, living with integrity and listening to the experiences of others.
Guide us, shape us and challenge us.
Help us to be more like you, Jesus. Help us to follow you.

In the circle of Your love, we gather,
Called by our different names, invited to belong to you and each other,
Not to be separated by birth places,
But called together by our shared yearning for Shalom.
Lord Jesus, You looked at those around you
And declared them family—mother, brother, sister—
Bound together in purpose and in Kingdom kinship,
A new community formed by grace.
Help us to be more like you, to see beyond ourselves,
To recognise our global Kingdom family,
Beautifully diverse in language, culture, and expression,
United for your mission of love for the world.
Grant us the courage to embrace partnership,
To join hands with agencies, schools, and innovators,
To support them with prayer, with gifts and presence,
For those who long for Kingdom hope,
Across the street and around the world.
May we embrace the richness of collaboration,
Finding strength in our collective need for one another,
