The team is growing relationships through their tennis program.
One way the team in Cambodia connects with local people is through their tennis ministry. Recently, Scott and the Khmer coaches travelled with 19 very excited local children and teenagers to a nearby province to compete in a tennis tournament. For Scott as the head coach, it was great to see the players do their best in each match after training hard all year. It was especially wonderful to witness the way they celebrated their teammate’s achievements and supported each other.
Over time and as trust has grown, the team’s relationships with the Khmer coaches and players has deepened. Scott regularly has opportunities to share about Jesus and have spiritual conversations, particularly with the coaches and older tennis players.
Pray that through these conversations, God’s Spirit would be opening the hearts and minds of the Khmer coaches and players to the Good News.
