Exploring Mission is about discipleship. It is designed to connect you to God’s global vision, and to help you find your place in it. Everybody has a role in this story.

Exploring Mission recognises that you are already living, learning and working in intercultural contexts. It’s a lived experience. We also recognise that our world is rapidly changing and therefore intercultural mission must keep pace. An outdated approach to global mission simply will not cut it!

Who is Exploring Mission for?

Exploring Mission is for anyone who wants to explore questions such as:
  • What is God doing in the world?
  • What is my role in God’s mission?
  • What does intercultural mission in Australia look like?
  • Where is God calling me now?
  • How can I be trained and equipped for what God has for me in the future?
Exploring Mission is for people who want to understand and support global missions, for people considering becoming intercultural workers in the future, and for anyone who wants to better engage in intercultural ministry in their local neighbourhoods and suburbs.

Exploring Mission is facilitated by Global Interaction, the global mission arm of the Australian Baptist church. These are the foundations for Global Interaction's ministry:

What We See
Vibrant faith communities following Jesus in their own distinctive ways

Why
Because nothing matters more than sharing God’s love for the world

How
Through Spirit-led people, humbly contextualising the good news of Jesus in every place
