Ngoc and Mark began serving in Indochina at the beginning of 2020. In 2021 they were blessed with the birth of their daughter Maia.
Although they are native to the country, they spent most of their adult years growing up in other countries. Ngoc was raised in a Buddhist family and left Indochina as a refugee to the US, where she came to faith in Jesus through a small house church in Houston. Mark grew up in a culturally Catholic family, and came to know Jesus through Peter ‘Hoa’ Stone, after he moved to Sydney.
The couple met in Indochina in 2016 on a short-term mission trip with Peter, who led a local organisation. In 2021 Peter passed away, so Mark and Ngoc decided to relocate and serve alongside Peter’s wife, Hien. The organisation exists to equip, empower and enable marginalised young Indochinese people with physical disabilities, as well as disadvantaged children, to live independently and be self sustaining.
God has established a new faith community in their local area. Please pray for the Indochinese people to follow Jesus in their own distinctive ways. Please also pray for Mark and Ngoc as they seek to expand and offer more services to care for their communities and their needs, whilst looking after their own family.
