Ando is preparing to serve among the S.I people, a least-reached people group in South East Asia. After graduating from university in 2015, completing studies in environmental engineering and language, God opened the door for Ando to spend almost 2 years in South East Asia as a short-term volunteer with the Baptist Mission Australia team. During his time he began culture and language study and supported some of the team’s existing work, as well as contributing to a local soccer ministry.
Since returning to Australia, Ando has strongly sensed God leading him back for longer term ministry. He is drawn by the need and sense of responsibility to live among a least-reached people group, as well as the peace and joy he was filled with when previously there. As part of his preparation, Ando has begun theological study and the process of obtaining professional coaching accreditation, which he hopes will open doors in South East Asia.
Ando is looking forward to using his passion for language, soccer and the outdoors as a means of engaging with and building relationships with least-reached people so that they may come to experience Jesus in a meaningful way.
Ando is building a partnership team to support him financially and in prayer. If you would like to arrange for Ando to visit your church or small group, please contact the VIC/TAS State Office.
