Use the Prayer Guide to pray for God to be at work in your community and the world.
The Walk the World Prayer Guide includes overall prompts to facilitate prayer for your local neighbourhood and the world. It is the perfect entry point for involvement with Walk the World and can be utilised by individuals, families, small groups or whole churches.

Walk the World Prayer Guide
Throughout Walk the World, use the prayer prompts below to pray for God to be at work within:
- Your community
- Households in your street
- The world & ministry of our intercultural teams
1. Your Community
- Families: Pray for families to be safe places of respect and love. Pray for families in need.
- The Community: Give thanks for the people in your area. Pray for God to be powerfully at work in your community and through the lives of believers.
- Schools: Pray for children to thrive at school. Give thanks for teachers.
- Churches: Pray for local churches to actively and relevantly share God’s love.
- The Marginalised: Pray for people on the margins to find friendship, hope and practical support.
2. Households
As a church community or small group, map out your local area and invite people to pray for specific streets. At each house, pray for:
- Peace: Pray for homes to be places of safety, peace, trust, love and respect.
- Openness: Praise God for the way He is already at work. Pray for God’s Spirit to be growing Gospel curiosity in people’s hearts.
- Healing: Pray for God’s healing hand over those suffering emotional, physical or relational pain. Pray for people to experience hope in the midst of heartache.
- Provision: Pray for the easing of economic struggle. Pray for people’s physical needs to be met and that church communities will respond generously and practically.
- Believing Friends: Pray that God would place followers of Jesus in the lives of seekers.
3. The World & Our Teams
- Intercultural Teams: Lift up our intercultural teams. Pray for God’s guidance, wisdom and strength. Give thanks for their faithfulness.
- Transformation: Pray for communities to experience holistic transformation as they encounter the Gospel through word and deed. Pray for people to have access to healthcare, food, water, education and opportunities.
- Team Children: Praise God for the wonderful children of our team members. Pray for them to know God’s presence, protection and joy as they grow.
- Faith Communities: Pray for emerging faith communities around the world. Pray for the discipleship of believers and the equipping of local leaders.

What is Walk the World?
Walk the World is an interactive prayer event that runs over the weekend of 10-12 November.
It's an invitation for people and churches to get out and about in your local neighbourhood... and pray! Pray for your community and communities around the world. Pray for your church's ministry and the ministry of our Baptist Mission Australia team members.
