At the Baptist Theological College in Lilongwe, theological students from Malawi and neighbouring countries attend and many stay on site in the accommodation provided.
The existing beds were made over 60 years ago and along with the mattresses, are old, worn out and too narrow for basic standards today. The need to replace these was highlighted when 30 new mattresses were donated but could not be used due to the narrowness of the bed frames. They are currently in storage waiting for new bed frames.
Led by the Dean of Students, with the assistance of Gary and Shirley, this project covers the cost of 53 new bed frames to be made and an additional 23 mattresses be purchased so that all students can have a safe bed and mattress for a good night’s sleep.
Supporting this project provides practical assistance to the Baptist Theological College, helping improve student wellbeing with new bed frames and mattresses.
